Hi, I'm Guy, better known in the room as Southernknight. I am a single man with 2 wonderful grown sons. My oldest is 23 and my youngest is 20. I raised both of them myself, so I know what it's like to be a single parent. My faith in the Lord helped me thru some trying times. I like to do just about anything. I love to sing, but have always been a little shy about it. I sing in church sometimes, and believe it or not, it makes me a nervous wreck to sing in front of people. It took me a while before I would sing in Pal Talk. Southernstar_baby's room was one of the first that I sang in. She made me feel at ease, and pretty soon, it got so that it didn't bother me to sing anymore. I've lost a lot of my shyness now. I even go so far as to become Droopydrawers_3 . That is when I really cut loose and have fun. I love to write short stories and poetry. I have some funny things written and I have some serious things written. I have a poem, "SOMETIMES", that has been published in a book titled "An Hour at Sunrise". I was given the publisher's choice award for this poem. Years ago I was also a sports photographer for our local newspaper. I am 48 years old and am a veteran with the US Air Force.
